The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust!

Why Nubian Giraffes?

The Nubian Giraffe is a subspecies of giraffe that once inhabited much of northeastern Africa. This subspecies is not extinct in the DRG, Egypt, and Eritrea and is classified as critically endangered. Like many endangered species, these giraffes have been subject to massive habitat loss and fragmentation. Rapid agricultural growth has spurred the creation of massive farms that restrict giraffe populations.

What Does Sheldrick WIldlife Trust Do?

Based in Nairobi, Kenya, The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is an organization that has been working to conserve the habitats of East Africa for many years. The turst is specifically dedicated to protecting wildlife and species like Nubian Giraffes, African Elephants, and Rhinos.

The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust's impact includes saving habitats, community outreach, antipoaching efforts, and orphan's project. The orphan's project rescues animals, raises them, and reintroduces them back into the wild. 320 elephants and 19 rhinos have been successfully raised with this program and there are currently two giraffes being raised! Kikko and Twiggy are the giraffes in question. The Giraffe Edition is dedicated to supporting the The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and 10% of profits from this collection will be donated to supporting the orphan's project.

You can find more information about their website on the collection page!
